Kudzanai Chiurai is a Zimbabwean-born artist. His art aims to re-examine and reimagine the black African experience. In his ‘Revelations’ collection, the notion of “state” is explored as a utopia and an action, becoming both a state of mind and a status. This Africa art piece depicts a luncheon setting, where the men are being fawned over by the women. One topic that Chiurai has focused on and still focuses on is gender politics and identity, which is shown in this piece. Many of his works explore war, abuses of power, reconstruction, and solidarity of the African people. Share this piece for the world to see.
